A trail of spectacular sceneries, from the Mekong Delta to the inaccessible tribes on the north of the country, passing through the incredibly beautiful Halong Bay and the picturesque town of Hoi An.

Vietnam, alongside Thailand, is one of the most visited countries of the Asian Southeast.

Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, is one of the preferred cities by most veteran travelers around the world.

Entering its streets is by itself an adventure! , as they are a chaos of motorbikes, cars, carts, and pedestrians, that, without any apparent order, just circulate around.

But perhaps ancient powers are at work there, as, even in that chaos, there aren’t more accidents than normal.

The Time for Traveling

From December to March the North is cold, but the South is already sunny and cloudless. From July to August the country is very warm and has a lot of precipitation caused by the humidity of the Monzon. Until November, typhoons may appear on the Central Coast and in the North.

Money

The legal coin of Vietnam is the Dong (1 Dong = 0,000035€). There are ATMs all around the country where euros can be converted to Dongs. The majority of the hotels accept credit cards like Visa and Paypal.

Language

The official language of Vietnam is Vietnamese, even though Mandarin and French are relatively well-known around the country.

Passport

For the European citizens that don’t want to spend more than 15 days in the country and only enter it once, no special documents are needed. For the ones that want to spend more time than that or visit other countries while coming back to Vietnam later, a special online passport is needed. It is actually very easy to obtain an online visa, it only costs 39,95€ and it will arrive 3 days after it has been ordered.
