Thailand & Laos
We will start our trip by landing in Bangkok where we will stay for 3 nights at the Isanook Bangkok Hotel. During our stay in the city, we will take the opportunity to see the temples, floating markets and enjoy one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.
On the fourth day in the morning, we will go to the station, where we will catch a train to Ayuttaya.
Once in the small town, we will rent a bike or a tuk-tuk and we will dedicate ourselves to visit the ruins of the area until the evening, when, after dinner, it will be time to take a night train to Chiang Mai. Arrived in Chiang Mai, we will go directly to Brick House Hostel Chiang Mai where we will stay for 2 more nights. On the first day in Chiang Mai, in the morning, we will dedicate it to rest and in the afternoon we will visit the Chiang Mai Grand Canyon, a really fun water park with obstacles. On the second day, we will hire a trek with elephants up the mountain and an exit to the White Buddha. On the last day, we will dedicate ourselves to finish visiting the city until the afternoon where a minibus will pick us up at the hotel and take us to Pai. Once in Pai, where we will stay at the Pai Circus Hotel for another 3 nights, we will let ourselves be carried away by the vibes of this quiet city were sweets, street art, music, and nature flow at their own pace as if from another country. We recommend during your stay to visit the different shows that are usually done, the night market, and the bar area which unfolds in an explosion of life and good vibrations as the last rays of the sun disappear.
The next step in our trip will be, Chiang Rai, a small and quiet city of about 60 thousand inhabitants in the northernmost province of Thailand where we will spend, as usual on this trip, 3 more nights at the Nakaraj Princess Chiang Rai hotel. In Chiang Rai, we will take the opportunity to visit the famous White temple and the Blackhouse, the markets, Mount Doi Tung, and the Golden Triangle. Next, we will go to Chiang Khong, where a boat will take us across the Mekong to cross the border and reach Laos.
Arrived in Laos, we will go by bus to Luang Namtha, a small rural town where we will spend 2 nights, at the Royal Hotel. In the morning, we will go trekking in the surroundings to Wat Samakyxay and the famous Chong Chai Tai Bridge, while in the afternoon, we will dedicate ourselves to exploring the center and the markets before returning to the hotel. The next morning, we will go by bus to Luang Prabang, the city of gold and one of the jewels of the country. In Luang Prabang, we will stay at Villa Mahasok hotel for three nights in which we will explore the city, Pak Ok caves, and Kuang Si waterfalls, where we can bathe and visit the bear recovery center.
Our penultimate destination will be Vang Vieng, where we will spend 2 nights at the Riverside Boutique Resort discovering the surroundings (emphasis on the reclining Buddha of the Tham Phou Kam cave and the sunset on Mount Pha Ngeum) before continuing to Vientiane, the capital of Laos and our last stop on this trip where we will stay for 3 nights at Vientiane Garden Hotel. In Vientiene, we will visit the various monuments, the Buddha Park with its 120 meter Buddha and the night markets before ending our trip.
