Sri Lanka & Maldives

Itinerary

When we arrive in Sri Lanka, we will move to Negombo to rent a tuk-tuk to move around during the trip. After more than 3 hours of driving our tuk-tuk for the first time, we will arrive in Kandy, the second-largest city in the country. In Kandy, we will stay two nights at the Queen's Hotel while we visit the market, the lake, the alleys, and the surroundings before continuing our journey to the north of the country in Sigiri Ya where we will stop to visit the famous caves of Dambulla before continuing to the La Dolce Vita hotel where we will spend the night. The next day we will go on a mountain safari and climb the Golden Rock, to see the sunset before returning to the hotel. In the morning, we will leave towards Polonnaruwa to discover one of the Sinhalese kingdom’s ancient capitals.

At dawn, we will return to Negombo, avoiding the main road to travel the narrow secondary roads and marvel at its spectacular views before returning to our Tuk-Tuk and preparing to catch a flight to Male, the Maldives, where we will take the Ferry that will take us to Gulhi, perhaps one of the most beautiful islands in the world. We will stay at the Gurus Maldives Hotel for 3 days and 3 nights in which we will swim and snorkel in its impressive coral reef.

After spending 3 days in the very quiet Gulhi, we will go to the bustling Maafushi, full of restaurants, souvenir shops, and tourists like us with whom to socialize (having cocktails on the beach, chatting, contrasting opinions ...).

As in the previous one, we will stay for 3 days and 3 nights at the Ethereal Inn Hotel before continuing:

* Guraaidhoo or Olhuveli Beach and Spa (3 nights): On the last nights of the trip you will have the option to choose to visit another inhabited island (Guraidhoo) or enjoy accommodation in one of the typical 5-star resorts of the Maldives. If our budget allows it, we strongly recommend you not to miss the last option.

The price of this trip  is 2000 €
